The Creator’s Roulette

IMG_0421

I enjoyed many a conversations with book lovers in my 2019 in Books for Book lovers series. As 2019 came to an end, I wondered which collaborations will happen next. What new adventures will I embark on and which new things will I learn from people out there? The bigger question though was how was I going to reach out to them.

I have been involved in the Write Hive online convention and as a new book blogger and member of the writing community, I have been fascinated by the many professions that are part of it. It's not just writers and readers - there are publishers, beta readers, editors, designers, illustrators, everyone contributing to the world of writing in their unique way. I wanted to make meaningful connections with them, learn about and from them, and, if at all possible, help spread the word about their amazing work.

Conversations with close friends, Ariel, Varun and Lauren, grew the idea into something bigger - a series for creatives - you can be one, all or as many of the identities I have identified - writer, reader, maker, performer, promoter, specialist.

I am here for the conversations. I'm here to see the magic that these amazing creator's words and works will weave into my world. I've already had some of these conversations and I assure you, you will learn a lot from them. 🙂

  • Why is it called The Creator's Roulette?

Because I cannot tell you who the next person on the series will be and what they do. It's a gamble who you will meet. 🙂

  • What kind of posts will The Creator's Roulette have?

There will be guest posts, interviews and conversations for sure! I am not limiting them to a format or set of questions in my mind because that is not the way to learn about or from someone. The only plan I have is to get to know them in a way that works from them.

  • Can I be a part of Creator's Roulette? I am a creative!

Lovely to meet you! 🙂

At the moment, The Creator's Roulette is only by invitation or recommendation. This means, either I have to extend you an invitation, or someone who has already appeared on this series has to connect us. So if you know anyone I already have plans to host here, go talk to them!

Having been a part of your blog thrice last year, it’ll be an honor to be back and embrace my originality; to find and appreciate what I’m really good at. Thank you for including me!

I see one of your Creatives was Victoria Price. I just attended her Price Legacy Tour with the Poe Baltimore organization and participated in her Writers’ Workshop. Lots of fun. I’ve ordered some of her books. And, of course, I still love her father’s movies!
