Hello bookish friends! Continuing with our new tradition of sharing our monthly reads, Ariel and I are back with another compilation of our books, this time for November. Please tell us what you have been reading in the comments! 🙂
Kriti’s Selection
Kriti’s November 2020 reads – instagram grid
I seem to be consistent with seven books a month as in October 2020. For November, below are the ones I completed:
- Siddhartha (review on Armed with A Book, Instagram)
- Educated (discussion with Ariel, Instagram)
- Digital Minimalism (review on Armed with A Book, Instagram)
- The Invention of Wings (buddy read with Stephen; discussion and review coming this week to Armed with A Book, Instagram)
- The Forgotten Daughter (review on Armed with A Book, Instagram)
- The Forgotten Kingdom (discussion with Erynn coming soon, Erynn’s Instagram)
- Parable of the Sower (review on Armed with A Book, Instagram)
Summary:
Number of library books: 4/7
Review copies: 1/7
Buddy Reads: 3/7
Something new that I tried: I read some older works this month. Siddhartha was first published in 1922, Parable of the Sower in 1993. Most of the other books in my selection were historical fiction (The Forgotten Kingdom set in the 6th century, The Invention of Wings set in the 1800s and The Forgotten Daughter set in 1970s Quebec). Digital Minimalism brought me back to the present, with Educated bridging some years in between.
December is looking to be a fantastic month with more variety with a couple more buddy reads, some 800 page tombs and some lighter reading. Stay tuned for that! Turning over to Ariel now:
Ariel’s Selection for November 2020
In November, I participated in a readathon in celebration of Native American Heritage Month called IndigAThon. Here are the 8 books I read for the readathon along with their prompts!

- New To You: Crooked Hallelujah
- Other than “5 Civilized Tribes”: Earth Keeper
- Middle Grade: Race to the Sun
- Other than US: Fire Song
- Free Space: The Marrow Thieves
Summary:
This month, I joined Storygraph, which is an alternative to Goodreads that provides more specific data on reading trends. Here’s some monthly highlights that I pulled from my Storygraph Stats:
- Most-read moods: Emotional and reflective
- Preferred Pace: Medium
- Page Range: between 300-500
- Mostly read: Fiction
In December, we are going to be reading together Wanderers, and hopefully finish the giant book by the end of December! We will let you know next month if we make it!
